Ingredients
Beans and lots of ! Assorted such as haricot, butter,Black eye, kidney beans- if using fresh soak over night but when we are in the van we use tinned
Toulouse sausages-8
6 rashers of streaky bacon finely diced
1 chopped onion
1 tin of chopped tomatoes
6 tomatoes halved
large glass of a decent french red wine
garlic - to taste
method
Fry the onion and garlic in a pan for about 5 mins until the onions are clear
Add the sausages and streaky bacon and gently fry for 10 mins -keep turning until cooked
Add the tomatoes, red wine and the beans
Place lid on pan and cook for approx 30 mins until thick and luxurious- if need be top up with a bit of chicken stock.
Serve with french bread and a nice glass of red wine.
