Stonking Beef Curry

All the elements Beef Curry!




Ingredients
500 g of diced steak ( I used stewing steak)
1 tin tomatoes
1 small carton passata
1 small banana
2 diced sweet potato
1 onion diced
1 jar of Phal curry sauce
2 tspoons of Rogan Josh paste
Handful of dried fruit
1 diced apple
Dusting of flour
Glug of oil


Method
Coat the beef and diced onions in the flour.
Lightly heat the oil and add the beef and onions and fry till brown ( not BLACK but brown or rather a beigish colour!)
Add the sweet potato and cook another 2 mins – stirring to stop any burning!
Add the tomatoes, Phal curry sauce, passata and dried fruit
Cook another 10 mins and then add the apple and banana
Carry on cooking on the hob on low for about 1 hour 30 mins till the beef is falling apart OR place in oven gas 6 for the same time OR in slow cooker for 6 hours on low.

Serve with warm naan bread and a cold bottle of Cobra beer!

NB- Princess says this should be called a European/Caribean/Asian Curry as it really is a mixture of all cultures!
