PorthOer Surfers Delight

PorthOer Surfer’s delight! This is another of the success’s recipes from the VW show @ Esher earlier in the year. It is lovely whatever the time of year! I like using French Algerian spicy sausages called Meguez- you can now get them in most UK supermarkets

• 4 small spicy chipolata style sausages
• 6 rashers of bacon diced
• 2 chicken fillets
• 1 onion
• 50 gms mushrooms chopped
• Bottle of cider
• 2 t spoons of mustard- which ever is your favourite!
• Small tub of crème fraiche Method

• In a wok style pan add a good glug of oil and lightly fry the onion and mushrooms
• Add the diced bacon and cook for approx 3 mins
• Add the diced chicken and cook for at least another 5 mins
• Next add the chopped sausages and ½ of the cider
• Cook out for another 5 mins, add more cider if need be.
(You need enough to cover the meat)- drink the rest!!
• Finally just 3 mins before serving add the crème fraiche and mustard and stir thoroughly.

The meal is best served with a large helping of friendship around a summers evening campfire!!! ( BTW – anyone know when summer will arrive!!)
